EyeTV 3.3 Update brings Live TV to your iPhone
Apple forbids iPhone App to have Live video streaming over your cellular network, combine with the native iPhone and now the EyeTV 3.3 update you can have live TV shows and TV recordings in your pocket. You can refer to my previous posting “Live TV Streaming to your iPhone” on how to setup your iPhone app. The new service provided by EyeTV is a web app named Live3G.
Step 1 - Set up your EyeTV on your Mac
You need to first check the “Enable the access from EyeTV for iPhone” and “Use My EyeTV” options. If you do not have an “My EyeTV”, you have to create one.

Step 2 - Access your EyeTV from your iPhone
Once you have set up your Mac, ou can now try it from your iPhone. The EyeTV app can automatically locate your Mac if your router supports UPnP or NAT-PMP protocols. If you continue to experience problem, you can try the EyeTV “configuration and troubleshooting tips”. In your iPhone’s Safari, go to https://live3g.eyetv.com. The logic page will show up (Figure 2).

If you are able to connect to your Mac, you are good to go (Figure 3).

After connected to your Mac, you can access the Live TV channels and Recordings on your iPhone no matter where you are.
