New iMac with 21.5” and 27”
Apple announced two new iMac models - 21.5” and 27” which sport LED-based 16:9 displays.
Apple today unveiled an all new iMac line featuring brilliant LED-backlit 21.5 and 27-inch widescreen displays in a new edge-to-edge glass design and seamless all aluminum enclosure. The new iMac line, starting at $1,199, is the fastest ever with Intel Core 2 Duo processors starting at 3.06 GHz, and Core i5 and i7 quad-core processors for up to twice the performance. Every new iMac ships with a wireless keyboard and the all new wireless Magic Mouse, the world’s first mouse with Multi-Touch technology.

The 21.5” supports 1920 x 1080 HD resolution which is ideal for viewing Movies, TV shows and photos while the 27” support 2560 x 1440. Both come with the new Apple Magic Mouse and the wireless keyboard. A new SD card slot is included similar to the introduction to the MacBook Pro.

The 21.5” model is selling for USD$1,199 and up which offers Intel Core Duo processors of 3.06 GHz or 3.33 GHz and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M or ATI Radeon 4670 graphics card.
The 27” model is selling for USD$1,699 and up with the same choice of processors. In addition, it also offers a 2.66 Quad Core Intel Core i5 or 2.8 GHz Quad Core Intel Core i7 processor. These more powerful options will only be available in November 2009.
