Apple announced the redesigned MacBook with unibody design, LED display and glass multi-touch trackpad.

Apple today updated its popular MacBook with a new, durable polycarbonate unibody design featuring a brilliant LED-backlit display, a glass Multi-Touch trackpad and Apple’s innovative built-in battery for up to seven hours of battery life. Inheriting technology and design features from the MacBook Pro line, the new MacBook is an ideal consumer notebook for students and new Mac users, and is available for $999.

The 13.3” glossy widescreen supports 1280 x 800 resolution which looks fantastic when viewing movies, photos and giving presentation.

It has a long battery life of up to 7 hours per charge and the battery can last up to 1000 recharges.

The multi-touch technology is also introduced to this redesigned MacBook. All the gestures you could find on MacBook Pro could be done in this latest model.

Though it’s the entry level Mac, it sports NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics card which is great for popular 3D games and with the 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor.

The MacBook is now selling in Apple Store for USD$999 and up.
